omg hahaha i was just thinking how our/ my job as a counselor is against principalities and evil and you just brought up " the client is an atheist and you are a catholic" good one. In my past life as a counselor i never met anyone who didn't believe in something… whatever that something was that's what you use to elicit change was my motto…. Been enjoying these review presentations…thank you.

I decided to start a research on counseling/education because I’m graduating this semester with an associate degree in Human Services and I feel like I have the passion, the calling but I don’t have the knowledge/skills , experience etc. When you shared something similar about someone else, it really made me feel better. My friends have encouraged me to keep my education because they said I would make a good counselor. So that helped me a lot. Thank you.

i work in the addiction field, and in 20 years you've only had maybe 2 clients that 'suggestive therapy' which is kind of what you were explaining when you said that you had a combative girl, and you spoke to her in a way that no one else has, "and in 20 years only 2 poeple it didn't work on"?????? LMAO you lost me there when you lied. unless you have only delt with maybe 20 clients I might believe it. Now if you have worked with thousands which is kida how you make it sound your full out it. I am a recovering addict who just threw away a career making up to 100k selling cars/ year to making an hourly rate because I care and there's people like you who have "no real" experience or lie like you just did is the reason im joining. Seek out recovering addicts or addicts themselves for information. Since they have real world experience. Any other field that's how it would happen. Find the surgeon with most practice for advice on a cancer patient, ask and addict when it comes to addiciton. BTW, did I say, your a liar. and kinda ignorant when it comes to addiction.
What’s a high context or low context culture?
I was on Methadone, Valium and cigarettes for over 10 years and I stopped (as a result of a Kundalini awakening ) 4 years ago . I’d love to be able to help others . How long does it take to become a councilor?

I have a dumb question. I just started drug and alcohol counseling this year. I had not heard the term clinician much before working in addictions. I worked in nursing before so assumed it only meant Doctor. Who is a clinician? Counselor and Therapists?
