We NEED testing done on how/if oral and topical collagen affects Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Your explanation on how oral supplementation works is very helpful while also leaving little hope that it will help EDS. But I still hold out hope that topical might help, until I see otherwise.

I'm 71. I take a type 1,2 and 3 combined collagen powder (10 gram) plus acerola cherry powder for the vitamin C needed for absorption. Taking for bone health/osteopenia. Added benefits..crepey skin at the base of my neck has smoothed out, crackling knee joints when I go up and down stairs have quieted down, fine lines in my face aren't as deep. The science hasn’t caught up with the practices of human experience on many fronts. Koreans drink bone broth all the time, and swear by its skin benefits 💁♀️ glad to come across this video because the last I heard were doctors and dermatologist saying it didn’t do anything and it was a waste. I don’t have the time or energy or stomach to drink bone broth every day, but I can definitely take a few scoops of collagen.

I started to take collagen more than 3 months ago and 3 of my close friends have noticed how much my hair have grown. I didn't noticed it until they said it. I also take sea moss so I am not sure wich one is responsible for it though

thank you for the video! its good having this extra information out there. i started taking a collagen with peptide supplement as an alternative to protein powder. i needed a protein covery option without the dairy and high cholesterol. i've had some really cool results the last cpl weeks (decreased bloating, less aches and pains, etc) and intend to keep it up for the long term.
My pharmacist suggests there is little to no benefit from oral collagen. Who to believe?

It is wonderful in warm milk and is my go-to for hot chocolate! In contrast, their protein powders which are among the best tasting I have used will clump in coffee or warm milk. I felt I was experiencing improved skin tone with use. Also, after several weeks of being without it I believe I am noticing more crepeiness and dullness. But that is also hydration and winter related. Highly recommend this collagen source.
