  1. Im really overweight and I sit for a long time in my office in front of the computer can I wear it too for a long period of time and for regular long distance walking as well as running?
I also carry 2 heavy backpack and a laptop bag will it cause any effects if there is a lot of pressure on the one side?

  2. Every time I wear compression socks, it feels like someone has rubbed my legs with sandpaper. I need to find a type of compression sock made from a soft, non-abrasive material.

  3. Hi Talking with Docs! Love all of your video's and this one is very informative. I am a bit of an expert on compression stockings as I have worn them for over 45 years. Here's a simple answer that heals an open ulcer fast! I learned from a vascular surgeon 35 years ago that if you use foam to increase the compression at the sides of the legs and especially around the ankles right on top of the ulcer it works miracles in healing them faster. He called it a vascular pump because as you move the leg the foam compresses and decompresses creating a pumping action.

What amazes me is that no one else knows about this and uses this. I have dedicated my life to getting this method known. Strange as it seems the best foam to use is a latex foam as its compresses better and is nice and soft which makes it very comfortable on open ulcers. It also reduces the amount of pain because it compresses and supports the swollen area and as an added benefit it absorbs a lot more fluid. In fact you will find some bandages with foam on them because its absorbs liquid better and they seem to heal better.

How can you inform people (as I haven't been successful nor was that surgeon and he has since passed away)

Easiest way to put on Compression stockings

    1. Costs nothing and makes it really easy to put on stockings – you will be amazed!
First to put them on easily turn them inside out only to the heel slide them on only to the heal the pull them up from the top. Yes those rubberized gloves can be very help full once they are on to adjust them (great video of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3lhNy9v42M&t=32s ps ignore the stockings they are promoting it works on all compression socks )

    2. Doff N' Donner – A product that does a great job at making it easier to put on any compression stocking (again great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNAUSrcIbVI&t=108s)

I am not in this for money! I am just trying to help! for more info like this goto Legulcers.ca

  4. Why don't they Just try the panty hose that the woman who weore them and not much compression and not very tight and can be purchased at the super market and have the same health benefits

  5. Do they raise your overall blood pressure?

I occasionally get edema in my ankles (not often, but occasionally), and over-the-counter compression socks seem to knock it out for several months.

  6. I have some sound on my Lowe’s leg shin area from drug use IV. I have gone to a burn clinic but their treatment has not helped me at all. Someone suggested to use compression on my lower legs. Idk what to do help.

  7. I finally found the perfect compression stockings (JUZO), after 35 years of trial and error. They are made with a top band of silicone "dots" that prevent them from sliding down. Also, actors use a certain "glue" ("It Stays") to keep in place mustaches, eyebrows, wigs, etc., and that product keeps socks from sliding down. These two options, combined with use of the perfect donner (EzyAs) have made such a difference. So, benefit from my decades of searching, and look into these products.

  8. Watched a tutorial by a nurse on how to put on stockings. You put your hand inside to the toe. Then fold the rest of the sock over your hand. You then put sock over toes and heel then with both hands you pull the rest of the sock over leg to knee, in one smooth motion. It takes a little practice but it works and can be quick, less frustrating. Do enjoy your show,am a retired OR nurse

  9. Recently bought the wrong size from a medical supply of a brand Truform. The 30-40 actually killed my leg/and feet and caused swelling more than anything or material to cut thru. Do you all recommend 20-30?

  10. Great vid.
What if one's calf is so stout that the graduated pressure ends up being upside down (tighter at calves than at ankles)? Would this compromise circulation up the leg?

  11. My vascular surgeon told me compression socks only help when you’re wearing them, as soon as you take them off they are useless. He advised me to quit wearing them. I bought a doff n donner and it works great to get them on. I had surgery on my hip and tried to get them on but couldn’t. I also bought a device that blows up around my legs and compresses. It charges up but pushes blood down to my feet. I am looking for a new doctor, mine retired.

  12. Put your hand down the sock and grab the heel, then pull the heel toward you until it peaks out the sock which is now inside out. Now slip your foot into the sock making sure the entire foot has the sock on, and finally grab the top of the inside out sock and pull them on. Easier to understand with a video.

  13. socks are literally turnacits for your feet causing blood to not flow through the foot and back to the heart causing higher blood pressure .socks are litterally the worst thing you can do to your heart, its the unknown cause of hight blood pressure.

  14. I do the stick hand inside sock to grab heel then turn inside out and get sock on halfway to heel. In the videos of other doctors or physical therapist that show that way to put them on they get the sock on over heel then pull top of the sock so it's where it' supposed to go. Only problem is when demonstrating that technique the foot they are putting the compression sock on is not swollen up at all or the don't show it going on wide foot either.

  15. I'd suggest a video of someone putting on their own stockings, not someone doing it for them. I used these as a fit person to recover from vascular surgery. I should wear at work while sitting all day. They're no picnic!
Hopefully simple & complex advances will make these life savers easier so every sitting & standing worker (all) can use more easily.
Thanks for what you do. I've used info from many of your videos & shared with others.
You remind me of Bob & Brad the PTs videos. Great guys also.

  16. I've wore juzo commpression hose 30mm Hg for over 30 years for my left foot lymphedema. It makes a significant difference. My therapist told me once that our body likes symmetry so i wear one on my right lower leg too. I turn the knee high hose right side out and turn down half the hose and pull it over toes and ankle then pull it up all the way. Can do this in less than a minute. They make my legs feel so much better.

  17. One brand that I ordered from Amazon had a silk shield that covered my foot. There was a tab at the end of the silk shield. As soon as I put the stocking on, then I would just slide the shield out. Works great.
